Biography

I’ve been a fine artist over 40 years and have exhibited in many notable venues in the Pittsburgh area including the Scaife Gallery, Carnegie Museum, and Pittsburgh Center for the Arts gaining critical acclaim.  I am currently professor of drawing, painting and printmaking at Waynesburg University and teach adult art classes at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, PA.

I have had a love of animals since my youth and have spent much of my professional career in the pet industry designing some of the most respected pet food packaging in the country including well known brands such as Milkbone, Meow Mix, Kibbles and Bits, Nutrish, 9 Lives, Natures Diet, among dozens of others.

What some of my clients have said about my work:

"Ron, I just have to thank you for the amazing portrait you did of our beloved TOBY. The likeness is something that brings me comfort every day as I sit in my little sunroom and gaze upon his beautiful face. You are truly gifted, thank you 💕"

             Susan

"The portrait you did of Coco is amazing! You captured his expression, and the eyes are so lifelike I can't stop looking at them! I will cherish it forever."
